Day 1Arrive in Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet our safari driver-guide, who will transfer you to your accommodation.

Day 2Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive to Kibale National Park.

The scenic drive takes you through rolling countryside, tea plantations, and traditional villages, with a stop in Fort Portal for a city tour en route. Arrive in the afternoon.

If you arrive early enough, optional activities (at extra cost) include a Bigodi Swamp walk, crater lake visits, or the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves for cultural insight.

Day 3Chimpanzee Trekking

Rise early for a morning chimpanzee trek through Kibale’s pristine rainforest.

Hike in search of these intelligent, playful primates, often spotting them at close range. The trek lasts several hours depending on the chimps’ movement.

Day 4Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, start the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges in view, or drive through the crater lakes in the hills to sample the surprising diversity of savannah trees and wildlife.

Reach the lodge and enjoy the impressive view over Queen Elizabeth National Park and an evening game drive.

Day 5Lion Tracking & Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 6Transfer through Ishasha to Bwindi

Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi.

In Ishasha, we will drive off into this adventurous, vast savannah area with topis and the southern version of elephants to hopefully get the lions high in the fig tree branches.

Continue the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is the home to the forest giants, the mountain gorillas.

Day 7Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Experience

Have an early breakfast and get ready for the highlight of this tour.

Set off into the forest with a specialized guide, trek through beautiful nature, and finally get to spend one hour in the area where the mountain gorillas are.

Besides the gorillas, this impenetrable forest is full of birds, butterflies, plant species, forest hogs, forest elephants, sitatungas, and duikers.

After the trek, enjoy a packed lunch and head back to rest at the lodge or go for a community walk.

Day 8Drive to Kigali

Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge terrace while enjoying the beautiful forest surroundings before setting off for your return journey to Kigali, Rwanda.
