Day 1Arrival Kigali – Hotel des Mille Collines

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, after customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by a Jackal Adventures Ltd representative and transferred to your hotel. Your stay will be on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2Drive to Volcanoes National Park

Depart on a scenic drive northwest through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape. Arrive at Ruhengeri, the base for Gorilla trekking at the Volcanoes National Park. The town is a relatively small city of about 70,000 people. The constant flow of humanity is quite remarkable. The Town has great views of the surrounding volcanoes. People are very friendly here, and although a former Belgian colony (and thus French-speaking), many people speak English here.

Day 3Volcanoes National Park

Early breakfast at 6: 20 am. Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for the first gorilla trek at 7:00 am. Briefing by your trackers, then drive to the trailhead for the start of your amazing Rwanda gorilla tracking adventure.

Your trek again starts in the cultivated foothills of the Virungas, offering stirring views in all directions.

After the trek, visit the Iby’iwacu cultural village.

Day 4Departure

After breakfast at the hotel. Depart from the foothills of the volcanoes and drive on a scenic drive to Kigali.  Transfer to the airport for your departure back home.
