Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your local hotel. Take time to relax and recover after your flight before starting the long driving legs across the country.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Depart Entebbe early and drive north toward Murchison Falls National Park. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary along the way for a guided rhino tracking walk on foot, then continue into the park to visit the top of the falls where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge.

Day 3: Full Day Exploration in Murchison Falls National Park

Head out on an early morning game drive across the northern savannah to search for lions, giraffes, elephants, and leopards. In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Victoria Nile up to the base of the falls to spot hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Leave Murchison and head south toward Fort Portal. The scenic drive passes through rural villages, rolling hills, and lush green tea plantations on your way to the rainforest edge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Spend the morning tracking wild chimpanzee habituated groups with Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers in Kibale National Park. In the afternoon, head to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community-led swamp walk to spot diverse primate species and rare birds.

Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive south from Kibale, crossing the Equator line as you enter Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, take a two-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel to view one of the highest concentrations of hippos and aquatic wildlife in Africa.

Day 7: Lion Tracking & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Begin early with a rewarding morning game drive across the famous Kasenyi Plains, where wildlife activity reaches its highest levels during the cooler morning hours.

After lunch, continue with a memorable boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake George and Lake Edward while supporting one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos. Massive crocodiles bask along the shoreline as elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes gather to drink.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Drive south through the highland countryside and terraced hills towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive at your lodge with enough time to rest, enjoy the mountain climate, and prepare your gear for trekking.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, travel to the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

Soon afterward, begin your trek through one of Africa’s oldest tropical forests. The trail passes beneath towering trees, dense bamboo, giant ferns, and moss-covered vegetation while experienced trackers search for one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families.

After your trek, continue your cultural discovery by visiting nearby Batwa communities. The Batwa Cultural Experience introduces traditional forest survival skills, hunting techniques, herbal medicine, storytelling, music, and dance.

Day 10: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive east towards Lake Mburo, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park. Arrive in the afternoon for a relaxing boat ride on the lake or a late afternoon game drive to view zebras, impalas, topis, and elands.

Day 11: Walking Safari in Lake Mburo

Start the morning with a guided bush walking safari or horseback ride alongside the wildlife in Lake Mburo. Afterward, drive back toward central Uganda and stay near Mukono or the eastern side of Kampala to position yourself close to Naggalama.
